I am a self-motivated and hard working professional with a wide range of experience in Social Work and Safeguarding Children. I have eleven year experience as a trainer in children and adult safeguarding related topics. I am an accredited trainer on a range of assessment tools, Safer Recruitment and other specialist topics. I have produced a number of training manuals and material including safeguarding resources for education setting. I have been a social worker for almost thirty years, working with children and families (family support, child protection and court work) as well in adult metal health. I am able to work as part of a team or on my own initiative. I have good problem solving and analytical skills. I am an effective communicator at different levels within the organization and with outside agencies. I am computer literate.

Responsible for the development, delivery and commissioning of the LSCB training programme. Responsible for the training of trainers programme and co-ordination of the multi-agency delivery of the LSCB training programme. Responsible for the quality assurance of training.

The Change For the past 4 yrs I have delivered training to the London Borough of Hakney on Local Authorities on Supporting Parents through Assessment, Safer Recruitment and Working with Difficult Dangerous and unco-operative families in child protection.

Project work During 2013-14 I was commissioned to develop the DfE training resources on Childhood Neglect. This resulted in the publication of a training manual (inclusive of 16 courses) and DVD /DVD ROM. The material was launched at a series of regional seminars in Nov 2013 and is being piloted across the country.
